I am a Social Media Specialist.
Just started this role beginning of the month and today is my third week in.
Being a newbie, I have lots to learn about social media strategies. Data mining, analytic, communities management, social interaction, social participation, conceptualization and strategic ad buying or media planning. Those are basically the fundamental of my job description.
My perception of social media has changed entirely. Social media is no longer just Facebook and Twitter, sharing with friends and family. But rather a tool that businesses can gain insights to connect with you as a consumer or potential customer.
There is just so much to read and so much information to absorb. Best of all, ALL the information are FREE!!!
Do I see myself doing this for a long time? Yes, definitely! There is just so much to learn and I believe that social media will constantly grow and that I will have to grow with it eventually.
Here is a little info-graphic I got from mashable.com

Dontalk Review
Annyeong All!
This is a pretty cool chat app I found online. Was watching Running Man episode 175 and saw them posting mission statements via Dontalk's pop message that will self destruct in few seconds after message is open.
Dontalk has several functions that makes it really awesome.
So far I've tried message recall, whereby if the recipient hasn't read your message, you can just delete it before they see it. However, if they have seen it you can't. This way you could also know if they have seen your message.
I've also tried the pop message which is super fun! Feels like mission impossible.. This message will self destruct in 10 sec... 9... 8 ... 7.... (you may set the seconds as you wish. default 1 - 30 sec, and manual any amount of seconds). You'll never get to read the message again. It's gone. Impressive!
Haven't tried the whisper function which allows you to send a secret message to one or some people in a group chat while leaving out the other person and they wouldn't even notice. This was what Gwang Soo did to Jung Kook in the same episode. Hehe..
I like how this app is super creative, however it's not very popular here in Malaysia and I had no friends in my contact list. I had to manually invite them to download the app. The link sent to my friends were in Korean and well, they will ask me "what is this?" and I will have to explain like as many times as I send out an invitation to use this app. I guess that is the only down side to this. Otherwise, when this becomes popular and well accepted, I don't think that will be a problem.
